Tal Regev’s practice is concerned with the embodied experience of trauma. Through the materiality of painting itself, she explores memory, loss, separation and the affect of pain. Her works suggest a psychic map of what is “held” within the body. She is interested in the bruise that reveals itself, and opens up in-between spaces. The hidden elements are felt rather than seen; the quiet grip of a shared tension.
