Iris Posner: The title of this work, Freedom Bound (above), reflects both the current lack of freedom for all women as well as the continuing movement to attain that freedom. Though still bound to the rocks, freedom in wing form is upright and moving forward. The structure of the work reflects the continuing and unfinished struggle for freedom as well its fragility.
