Kathy Bruce: My site-specific outdoor sculptures explore archetypal female forms within the context of poetry, literature and the natural environment. The focus of my sculptures is the relationship between humans and the natural world, and reconnecting contemporary society with its longstanding ritual traditions related to nature. This work, I Dwell in Possibility, is inspired by the poetry of Emily Dickinson and the whiteness of the Vermont birches.
